GET TO KNOW ME
You reveal so much about yourself in counselling, so you will want to find a counsellor you feel comfortable to talk openly with. It helps for you to know a little about me so you can get a sense of how we might work together. It also helps us create a strong professional relationship.
I'm Cathy (she/her) and I have been with the LGBTQ+ Body Positive charity for a number of years, specialising in sexual health, relationships, gender, and sexuality issues. I also have experience with Healthbox CIC as an online and telephone counsellor helping people with a range of different issues, as well as experience with NHS IAPT (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

I enjoy spending time creating art and craft projects and I am happy to incorporate this into therapy sessions if you would like to do this. I also love the outdoors and strongly believe that getting out into nature is highly beneficial to your mental health. I am currently looking into offering "Walk and Talk" therapy sessions in the future.
I love everything history related and buy too many books. My family includes more cats than I would like to admit to and a grey rescue squirrel called Monty.
